About this event

SoundScape Park is a 2.5-acre urban park in the cultural and civic heart of Miami Beach. Capturing the spirit and vitality of the city, it is a flexible, multi-use space adjacent to the New World Center. SoundScape Park serves as both an urban oasis and a gathering place for cultural and special events. Tour the high-tech park and learn about its incredible design as a public space and entertainment space as well as its partnership with the New World Center, home of the New World Symphony, which regularly play public concerts for Miamians and visitors alike.

Tour participants will meet on the 3rd floor of the AKA Brickell (the symposium venue) for check-in and a quick welcome. Participants will bike from the hotel to Miami Beach Soundscape Park (a 39 minute ride, 6.5 miles). Bikes will be provided by Citi Bike Miami. Helmets will be free to keep. This will be followed by a walking tour of Soundscape Park and the adjacent New World Symphony building. The tour guides will lead participants back to the AKA Brickell at the conclusion of the tour at 3:30pm via bus. Tour participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

Activity Level: Moderate to heavy — Participants can expect to bike about 39 minutes or 6.5 miles to SoundScape Park.
